The state of Pennsylvania and the popular navigation app Waze are partnering to offer drivers even more real-time information about crashes, road conditions and construction zones.
Governor Tom Wolf announced the partnership between PennDOT and Waze on Monday. Waze will share PennDOT’s road condition data with the app’s users. PennDOT will use the data reported by those users to boost traffic-condition monitoring.
They say the partnership can help agencies respond more quickly to congestion.
