The Butler BlueSox earned their first win of the 2018 season, as they beat the West Virginia Miners on Saturday by a final of 8-7.
The Sox scored their eight runs in the fourth inning, all of which were unearned. The Miners scored three runs in the bottom of the ninth to bring the deficit to one run. Nick Fuchs earned the start on the mound for the Sox, and pitched five innings.
The BlueSox will return to action on Sunday, as they square off against the Miners. First pitch is scheduled for 2:35pm.
