Butler County’s unemployment rate in October continued to be the lowest in the nine-county region.
According to the latest numbers from the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry, Butler’s rate was 4.6 percent. Allegheny County was the only other surrounding county to post a number below 5 percent at 4.7.
The highest unemployment rate in the region is Fayette County at 7.1 percent.
