The Slippery Rock University women’s basketball team improved to 5-3 with a 69-50 victory over Ohio Valley last night. The Rock men defeated Daemen College 72-51 and improve to 4-3.
Philadelphia honored Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant during his final visit to his hometown last night, then the 76ers snapped their 18-game winless streak with a 103-91 victory last night. Philadelphia had tied for the worst start to a season since 2009.
