An Ellwood City woman is facing a long list of charges after police say drugs caused her to doze off behind the wheel with her 2-year-old in the backseat.
Authorities allege 28-year-old Keri Dewitt lost consciousness while driving westbound on Route 68 (Evans City Road- 200 block) in Butler Township and crash into a mailbox. The crash happened just before 10 a.m. on Nov. 4.
Township police say neither Dewitt nor her 2-year-old was hurt. Dewitt was allegedly found to be in possession of both heroin and marijuana.
