Investigators from the National Weather Service are out Monday investigating if a tornado- or tornadoes- came through the area Sunday evening.
One of the areas under investigation is Parker Township, Butler County.
Butler- as well as surrounding counties Mercer, Armstrong and Clarion- were under back-to-back tornado warnings starting around 6 p.m.
The worst of the storm in Butler County appeared to hit Parker. There were multiple reports of trees and power lines down- some came down on homes and businesses. Some residents believe they saw what appeared to be a funnel cloud in Parker Township.
The worst of the damage seemed to center on Division Avenue- which runs between Butler and Armstrong counties.
There were also reports of a possible tornado in neighboring Parker City in Armstrong County and in Rimersburg, Clarion County.
In Parker Township, Butler County, at least four homes were reportedly damaged. A truck wash business was also damaged. No injuries were reported.
Parker Pike (off Route 268) was closed for over an hour Sunday as crews worked to clear large trees that were blocking the road.
Rain and thunderstorms are possible on Monday. Butler County will be under a Flash Flood Watch from 2 p.m. Monday through late Tuesday night as repeated periods of heavy rain are possible over the next couple of days.
