A Parker man has been charged with involuntary manslaughter in connection with a February ATV crash that killed a teen.
State Police charged Steven Ray Rider, 33, with several offenses- including two counts of providing alcohol to minors.
Briggs Buck, 16, of Chicora was a passenger on an ATV driven by another 16-year-old when they crashed Feb. 27. Buck died. The driver- whose identify has not been released- suffered minor injuries and fled the scene.
Following the crash, police reported that they were considering charging the driver with driving under the influence of alcohol. It’s unknown if any DUI charges were ever filed.
