Major League Baseball has announced the Pittsburgh Pirates will play the Miami Marlins in Puerto Rico May 30th and 31st next season to celebrate the legacy of Hall of Famer Roberto Clemente. May 31st will be Roberto Clemente Day throughout Major League Baseball. Pirate outfielder Andrew McCutchen will be presented the annual Roberto Clemente Award while on the trip. McCutchen was named the first Pirate to win the award since Willie Stargell in 1974. The award honors the player who best represents the game on and off the field through community involvement and sportsmanship.
