An organization of local governments is considering legal action against the state due to the ongoing budget stalemate.
During their fall conference in Hershey on Monday, the County Commissioner Association of Pennsylvania (CCAP) approved a motion to direct their legal counsel to explore options to end the ongoing showdown.
The state has now gone five months without a budget and human services programs administered at the county level are running out of funds. The organization is also looking into legal options to prevent this kind of stalemate from happening again.
