There is still time for kids to register for a fun event at Alameda Park this weekend.
The annual Flashlight Candy Cane Hunt will take place Saturday, Nov. 21 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. near the Carousel Shelter. The event is sponsored by the Butler County Parks and Recreation Department.
The event is designed for toddlers through kids ten years old. Clues to find the canes will be provided and canes will be exchanged for treats. Hot chocolate will also be available.
The cost is $9 per child and pre-registration is required with the Parks Department at Alameda.
