A former Butler County woman has pleaded guilty to several charges for her role in the death- and cover up- of a woman from Venango County.
34-year-old Amanda Lynn Cypher- formerly of Butler Township and now of Franklin, Venango County- was sentenced to time served this week in a Venango County courtroom on charges related to the death of Tausha Baker in 2017.
Cypher was offered a plea deal in exchange for her testimony of her former boyfriend, 30-year-old Richard Kennedy of Westmoreland County, who was found guilty earlier this year of first-and second- degree murder of Baker, according to ExploreVenango.com.
Kennedy is accused of attacking Baker in October 2017 at a home in Franklin, and then- along with Cypher- taking her to a road, killing her, and then setting her body on fire.
Cypher had been in jail since her arrest and was immediately paroled after pleading guilty to abuse of a corpse and tampering with physical evidence.
She will now be taken to the Butler County Prison to be re-sentenced on a parole violation for drug-related charges.
