There will be no increase in the tax rate for Butler Township next year.
At a meeting Monday night, the commissioners voted to keep the rate at 11.25 mills.
The 2016 year will see a nearly $8 million general fund budget for Butler Township. This includes minor changes in wages and nearly all of what was requested by department heads in a budget meeting earlier this month. The township budget is aided by money placed in several funds following the sale of Deshon Woods.
The township has had one rate increase in 18 years and the rate has held at 11.25 mills since 2012.
