Tim McGraw continues on in the Big Apple to promote his new album, Damn Country Music. Today (Thursday, November 12th), the superstar will make an appearance on the syndicatedLive! With Kelly & Michael followed by NBC’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon later tonight.
This is the second time Tim has done The Tonight Show since Jimmy Fallon took over and he tells us the comedian definitely makes it a fun experience. “It’s cool because he is a fan of music and he’s a musician as well. You know, he likes to play and sing and does a good job at it, and they sound so good on their stage. I mean, that’s one of the great things about going on a show that you know is gonna sound good and Jimmy always . . . his show always sounds good, and you get to do some funny stuff with him sometimes – play those games or do a funny skit, which is fantastic. I’ve known Jimmy for a while. In fact, Jimmy and I hung out . . . and Lorne Michaels, we all hung out at the Polo Lounge at the Beverly Hills Hotel one night and we sat at the piano and played songs all night long, and that’s sort of the first time that I actually hung out and met Jimmy and Lorne Michaels and it wasn’t long after that that I actually did Saturday Night Live and then got asked to do Jimmy Fallon when he did his first week, so there’s a little bit of a history there.”
Tim sits inside the Top 10 and climbing on the Country charts with his latest hit, “Top Of The World,” the debut single from Damn Country Music.
