PennDOT is reminding motorcyclists that they can show their support for veterans by purchasing a new “Honoring Our Veterans” registration plate.
The plate features the standard registration plate design in blue, white and yellow, with an image of the American Flag and a Bald Eagle.
Each plate is $35, with $15 dollars going directly to the Veterans’ Trust Fund, to support and assist Pennsylvania veterans and their families through grants to veterans’ service organizations.
PennDOT officials say the veterans’ license plate has been available for passenger cars and light trucks since 2012 but it has just now been released for motorcyclists who want to pay tribute to vets as well.
