Food service employees at a local school will be learning from an experienced chef as part of a culinary training session tomorrow.
The Seneca Valley School District is hosting the session with Chef Bill Scepansky Wednesday from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. in the intermediate high school cafeteria.
The hands on culinary training will include knife skills, making dressings, preparing beans and grains, and the use of seasonings when cooking vegetables.
The training is part of the Chefs Move To Schools program which encourages chefs to use their creativity and expertise to help schools come up with healthy and tasty options for kids.
