A local homeless center will not need to put restrictions on who is admitted following an outpouring of recent community donations.
According to Grace Youth and Family Foundation Founder and CEO Bill Halle, the scope of the Winter Relief Center Program will not need to be limited due to funding issues.
Before the center opened on November 1st, it was revealed that a dispute between the organization and Butler County over a contract would lead to a deficit of about $35,000 in the center’s budget. It was originally thought that the deficit would cause the center to severely limit the number of people they would be able to help.
The group is still in the process of raising the full $60,000 necessary to fund the center this winter but they hope to offer even more programs and services to those in need in our community. Visit gyff.org for more information.
