More Butler County residents voted in Tuesday’s primary compared to last May, but still voter turnout was low.
According to unofficial election results, only 22 percent (22.42) of registered voters made their way to the polls. Of the 125,912 registered voters in the county, only 28,233 of them cast ballots.
Roughly 18,200 Republicans voted, compared to 9,377 Democrats. Roughly 4,400 nonpartisan voters made their ways to the polls.
