Mars high school graduate Mani Brueckner was named the 2015 PSAC Athlete of the Year Wednesday, in addition to being named First Team All-PSAC for the fourth time in her career. Playing for Gannon, Brueckner led the PSAC in points (41), goals (17), and was tied for second in assists (7). Bruecker scored the game-winning goal in Tuesday’s PSAC quarterfinals win over Bloomsburg, giving her points in 16 of Gannon’s 19 matches this season. Her 41 points are a school record.
Slippery Rock’s Dara Demich and Caitlin Binder were also named to the first team PSAC. Karns City graduate Emily LoPresti, a freshman at Seton Hill, was named to the third team.
