Dog wardens are canvassing Butler and the surrounding counties this month looking for pet owners who have not got their dogs licensed this year.
Butler County Treasurer Diane Marburger encourages residents to get their dogs tagged as soon as possible to avoid getting ticketed.
You can purchase a dog license online through the county’s web site. Licenses are required for all dogs three months of age and older.
A dog license is less than $10 per year but if you don’t have one, you can be fined up to $300.
