The man accused of shooting a Harmony Township police officer was put into custody earlier this weekend.
According to our news partners at WPXI, 28-year-old Earl Hollins turned himself into Aliquippa Police on Friday night. This comes after Hollins shot Harmony Township police officer Alan Loskoch around 4am on Wednesday morning.
Authorities say that a bullet hit Loskoch’s bullet proof vest in the chest area. He was able to return fire before Hollins fled the scene. Loskoch was released from a Pittsburgh hospital on Thursday.
Officials say that Hollins was arraigned on Saturday morning. He faces charges of criminal attempted homicide, aggravated assault, and firearms not to be carried without a license.
