WPIAL Boys Soccer playoffs:
Seneca Valley defeated Central Catholic 3-0 Thursday in the Triple-A quarterfinals. They improved to 14-1-1 overall and will meet Canon-McMillan Monday in the semi-finals.
Mars defeated Montour 4-3 last night in the Double-A quarterfinals. They improved to 17-2-1 and will face Thomas Jefferson Monday in the semi-finals.
The Seneca Valley Girls Cross Country team won the Triple-A Team title and the Knoch Boys won the Double-A title Thursday at Cooper’s Lake Campground. Seneca Valley junior Rachel Hensley finished runner-up in the individual event.
Mandi Moxie of Knoch won the Double-A individual event.
High School Football Tonight:
Butler will visit Central Catholic. Hear the game on WBUT 1050am and at wbut.com beginning at 7:10pm. Kick-off is 7:30pm.
Knoch will visit Armstrong for a 7pm kick-off. Hear the game on WISR 680am and at wisr680.com beginning at 6:30pm.
7pm kick-offs:
Karns City will visit Punxsutawney. Freeport will visit Valley. Mars will host Hampton.
Seneca Valley will visit Shaler — kick-off is 7:30pm.
