Butler County’s unemployment rate continues to be the lowest in the seven-county region.
According to the latest numbers from the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry, Butler’s rate rose to 4.7 percent in September…up from 4.5 percent in August.
Allegheny County was the only other surrounding county to post a number below 5 percent at 4.9.
