Butler County’s Veteran of the Year has been named.
Robert Ripper, 69, of Fairview Township will be recognized at an annual luncheon Nov. 14 at the American Legion Post in Lyndora.
Ripper will also walk in the annual Veterans Day parade in Butler, which will be held Nov. 11 at 10:40 a.m.
Ripper served on active duty in the army during the Vietnam War from 1965 to 1967. He graduated from Karns City High School in 1964.
