The Pittsburgh Penguins defeated the Washington Capitals 3-1 last night, snapping a Washington five-game winning streak. All four goals in the game came in the third period. Beau Bennett returned from injury and scored his second goal of the season. Phil Kessel added a goal, his fourth of the year. Nick Bonino scored an empty net goal. Marc-Andre Fleury made 33 saves in the game as the Pens won their second game in a row. They return home to host Buffalo tonight. Game time is 7pm. Pre-game on WISR 680am is 6:30pm.
