A recent investigation by State Police into possible threats at Slippery Rock Middle School will not result in any charges.
Pennsylvania State Police were called to the school on both Wednesday, May 8 and last Thursday, May 2 after reports that possible threats were made by a juvenile student.
After a thorough investigation, troopers determined that no threats had been made by the juvenile.
Even though this particular situation was not determined to be a verified threat, State Police are thanking the individuals who reported the threats and encourage people to continue to be on the look out.
“The PA State Police takes a serious approach to school safety and investigates all reports of possible threats to the safety of schools. The PA State Police continues to encourage all citizens, including students and parents, to be alert for possible threats to the safety of the schools and report any possible threats and suspicious communication or activity. In addition to notifying school authorities, reports of potential threats should be immediately made to the police,” according to a news release. “The Safe2Say program (1-844-Saf2Say or 844-723-2729 or safe2saypa.org) may also be notified.
