It’s exactly one week until the municipal general election.
County voters will head to the polls next Tuesday (Nov. 3) to elect three new county commissioners.
Running are Republicans Kim Geyer and Leslie Osche, Democrats Kevin Boozel and Jerry Johnston and the Green Party’s Michael Bagdes-Canning. Voters can pick two. The top three will become commissioners.
Current Commissioners Bill McCarrier and Dale Pinkerton chose not to run for re-election. Commissioner Jim Eckstein was voted out in the primary.
Also important to note…today (Tuesday) is the last day to apply for a civilian absentee ballot for next week’s election. Those ballots must be in to the county board of elections by Friday (Oct. 30).
