Drivers may soon get the go-ahead to travel through a red light if the light’s sensor hasn’t been triggered.
Under a new bill approved Tuesday by the state House, drivers may proceed carefully through intersections if they’re caught at a light that won’t turn green.
Drivers will have to stop for the red light and make sure the way is clear before they proceed. This will especially help motorcycles and buggies who, because of their lighter weight, often times don’t trip lights.
The bill is on its way to the Senate for consideration.
