A Butler man is in jail accused of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl he met on Facebook.
Chase Perry, 22, was arrested and charged this week for allegedly having sex with the Summit Township girl several times between December 2014 and May. She would allegedly sneak out of her parents’ house through her bedroom window to meet Perry and would re-enter the home the same way.
Court documents allege Perry knew the girl was 13. He claimed to be 16.
The investigation began last month after the child’s mother notified authorities after finding an illicit image on her daughter’s iPod.
Perry remains in the Butler County Prison.
