A woman accused of posing as a local independent living center employee to steal from residents is now behind bars.
State police arrested 31-year-old Ricki Lee Double Sunday at Butler’s Terrace Apartments after they got a tip.
Double’s accused of stealing several hundred dollars from two elderly residents of Concordia Lutheran Ministries in Cabot earlier this month. Police say she got in through a patio door and then acted as an employee as to not raise any red flags.
Double is also a suspect in several other crimes…including a distraction theft that happened last week in Center Township.
The Butler City Police Department is advising residents that may have been in contact with Double to check if you’re missing anything, specifically coins or jewelry. If you are, call 911 and ask to speak with a Butler City Police officer.
