A local Girl’s Varsity Basketball Coach faces charges after he was accused of having an intimate relationship with a 16-year-old player.
Authorities say that 33-year-old Cliff Foster of Wexford, who is the Head Coach at Pine-Richland High School, was arrested on Friday after reports that he and a player engaged in sexual activities. The player is active with both the high school and a travel team that Foster is involved with.
Officials say that the relationship between Foster and the girl started in April, and the last reported meeting between the pair was last weekend.
Foster is a Knoch High School graduate who was a standout player for the Knights. He went onto star for La Roche College’s basketball team. He is currently married with children.
Foster faces charges of institutional sexual assault and corruption of minors. He has been suspended indefinitely from coaching at Pine-Richland.
