The city of Butler will be getting its annual overhaul this weekend and volunteers are needed to help.
“The Big Spring Clean” is planned for Saturday, April 27 with a rain date of Sunday, April 28.
This event is organized by the Shade Tree Commission of the City of Butler. Volunteers should meet at the North Main Street parking lot, across from the Burger Hut, at 8 a.m. with work expected to continue until noon. Activities will include general cleanup, sweeping of sidewalks, weeding and mulching trees. Gloves, orange vests and garbage bags will be provided. Those able to participate are asked to bring garden tools, buckets, brooms and dustpans.
