The Butler Middle School Ice Hockey team defeated Montour 14-1 Monday. Troy Gilliland led Butler with four goals. Jerome Oliver added a hat trick.
The Slippery Rock University women’s soccer team received goals from four different players en route to a dominant 4-0 win against Clarion University Tuesday afternoon at James Egli Field.
Slippery Rock improved to 8-4-1 overall and 7-3-1 in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference with the win. The victory also gives SRU sole possession of fourth place in the PSAC standings. Clarion fell to 3-10-1 overall and 3-9-1 in league play with the loss.

The Slippery Rock University men’s soccer team was unable to maintain an early one-goal lead as Le Moyne College came back to score three unanswered goals to defeat SRU, 3-1, Tuesday afternoon in non-conference competition. The loss snapped SRU’s two-match winning streak and dropped its record to 8-5 on the season.
