The Butler County Commissioners have approved the expenditure of $52,000 to reimburse Donegal Township’s local share of construction and inspection costs for replacement of the Rattigan Bridge.
The money will come from funds collected by the county’s $5 vehicle registration fee.
The new 33-foot long bridge at the intersection of Rabbitt and Rattigan roads opened last November. The bulk of the $1.5 million project was funded by the state.
