A 3-year-old was flown to a Pittsburgh hospital Friday after she was bitten by a dog.
According to State Police, the child was outside a residence on Lindey Road in Brady Township with a parent when she attempted to pet the dog. The pit bull bit the toddler in the face.
The child was flown by medical helicopter to Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh for treatment.
Police say the dog was chained at the time of the incident but the owner is facing several charges for not having the dog vaccinated or properly licensed.
