Police are looking for two students who escaped from a Butler County juvenile detention center Sunday night.
State police say the two teens (a 16-year-old and a 17-year-old) left the grounds of Summit Academy about 8 p.m. Sunday. Authorities say they both got into a gold, late-model, Acura SUV that was missing its front quarter panel.
The vehicle, which police say was being driven by a female, fled the school west on Herman Road, towards the city of Butler.
Both teens are described as black males, and both are from Cambria County. An alert was sent to the Summit Township community at 8:30 p.m. Sunday warning that the students had escaped.
This is the second escape from Summit Academy in less than a week. Last Thursday, two students left the school on foot but were caught an hour later.
