Two drivers were flown to a Pittsburgh hospital Sunday evening after being severely injured in a crash in northern Butler County.
The two-vehicle accident happened about 7:30 p.m. at the intersection of Route 38 and Old Brick Road in Washington Township.
According to State Police in Butler, 31-year-old Duane Anderson of North Washington was traveling east in a Ford F-150 truck on Old Brick Road when he ran a stop sign. His truck collided with a car that was traveling south on Route 38.
Anderson’s truck flipped on its side and he was ejected.
The car, driven by 19-year-old Garrett Brugh of McKean County, spun around but did not flip.
Both Anderson and Brugh were flown by medical helicopter to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh. Their current conditions are unknown.
