Two local airports will be receiving state funding to help pay for maintenance projects.
The Pittsburgh-Butler Regional Airport will receive $90,000 to design the rehabilitation of taxiways and a new access road on the south side of the airport.
The Butler Farm Show Airport will receive $37,500 to acquire equipment to maintain the airfield, as well as $45,000 to trim and remove trees from around the airport that impact the approach to the runway.
The funding for these projects- as well as 24 others across the state- comes from PennDOT’s Aviation Development Program and the Multimodal fund, and local matching funds.
