19-year old William Byron has been announced as the replacement for Kasey Kahne in the #5-car at Hendrick Motorsports beginning in 2018. Byron has three victories this year in his first season of the X-finity Series driving for Junior Motorsports. He is currently second in the points standings. In 2016, Byron had the most successful rookie season in 22-year history of the Camping World Truck Series history with seven victories.
