A Wednesday night crash has claimed the life of one teenager and seriously injured two others.
The one-vehicle accident happened just before 10 p.m. on Amsterdam Road in Liberty Township, Mercer County. That’s just west of the Butler County line.
According to State Police, a 17-year-old boy was driving a Dodge Dakota truck when he lost control while traveling around a bend. He crashed head-on into a tree.
The driver and a 17-year-old boy in the backseat were seriously injured and taken to the hospital. A 19-year-old man in the front seat was pronounced dead on scene.
An investigation is continuing.
