The schedule for the Butler High School football team is starting to come into focus following their decision to leave the WPIAL earlier this year.
Butler Athletic Director Bill Mylan says the Golden Tornado will join the state’s District 10 as an associate member, which means they’ll play five games against D10 schools and have a chance to make the playoffs.
Mylan said Butler will play Erie High School, Erie McDowell, Erie Cathedral Prep and Oil City—the fifth District 10 team hasn’t been decided yet. Mylan also said Butler has Kiski, Holidaysburg, Westinghouse and Brashear already on the schedule for this upcoming season.
